Hey all! So, over April vacation I went on a trip to the Pacific northwest (Washington/Oregon). For ten days, I drove around in a van filled with the luggage of 10 people and stayed in youth hostels and cheap motels while exploring the diverse land. We started in Seattle and took a dat to go to Mount rainier. Then we took a ferry across the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula, drove to the Dungeness spit, styed in Forks (yeah, Twilight blah blah blah fuck you, there were girls on the trip), visited the Quileute reservation, went to Cape Flatterly, 1st beach, and Realto beach (all in the ssame general area). Then we went to the Hoh river valley and visited the temperate rainforest there (the only one in the US). Then we drove a hell of a long way through Aberdeen (Kurt Cobaine!) to Astoria, Washington. We did a bunch of Lewis and Clark history sightseeing. We went to Cannon Beach, and drove along the columbia river gorge. We stopped at Crown Point and Multnomah Falls, and ended up at the Carson hot springs where we all got much needed mineral baths and saunas. The next day we started slow and hung out in Hood River, but had to head back to Seattle. On the way we stopped at Mount Saint Helens, but it was cloudy and we could barely see it and we were in a rush. We got back to Seattle, stayed the night, and left the next morning.
It was the best trip I'd ever been on. The landscape was so different, I might as well have been in another country. As you're gonna see from the pictures I'll be uploading soon, it was incredibly beautiful there.
